Bio
Originally from Philadelphia, Karen has spent the last ten years as a professional Makeup Artist. She received her BA in Theatre Arts from West Chester University of Pennsylvania . It was there where she learned the art of Stage Makeup. Her concentration was Makeup and Costume Design with minors in film and art. After working for professional theatre companies across the US, she chose to expand her craft to film and print. She spent three years in Los Angeles working on independent features and shorts as well as working for Universal Studios, Hollywood. In addition, she worked as a facial assistant to celebrity clientel at a skin clinic in Beverly Hills.
After Leaving Los Angeles, she attended esthetician school at CFCC in Central Florida. After obtaining her facial specialty license, she attended the full cosmetology program at SCTI. She graduated at the top of her class in esthetician school at CFCC and in cosmetology school at Sarasota County Technical Institute.
Karen spent the last year in NYC and is currently working in the South Carolina/ North Carolina area. She is signed with two agencies in Charlotte, but is still available for freelance work and travel. (She loves to travel!!) She is highly qualified in Special Effects, high fashion, film, wedding, and print makeup. In addition, she is well known for her abilities in hair cutting, color, and highlights.
